Dorottya Blaho, President 2006-2009, Director of Mentoring Program 2004-2006
Doro received her B.A. in biochemistry from The College of Wooster in 2003. Currently she is a graduate student in Andrew Miranker's lab in the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, focusing on understanding the molecular basis of amyloid fiber formation. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, traveling, photography, and playing the piano.
Hannah Chapin, Vice president and Director of Mentoring Program 2006-2009
A native of North Carolina, Hannah attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota where she got her degree in biology and environmental studies, while also learning a lot about snow and knitting. After graduating in 2003 she spent a year working at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD before coming to Yale. Her graduate research focuses on polycystin-1 cleavage and effects, while her education in life continues in music, hiking, and reading

Amy Ruschak, Vice President 2007-2008
Amy received a B.S. in chemistry and minor in mathematics from the University of Rochester in 2002. Currently she is working towards a Ph.D. in the Department of Chemistry and is doing research on amyloid fiber formation in Andrew Miranker?s lab. Outside of lab she is an avid aquarium hobbyist and also enjoys knitting and watching tv.
Katharine Jan, Seminars Director, 2006-2007
Katharine is a sophomore at Yale, majoring in economics and behavioral neuroscience. She spent last summer working for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as an intern in the Office on Women's Health. She researched and developed projects addressing women infected and impacted by HIV/AIDS. In her spare time, she likes playing the piano, playing tennis, and drawing.
Theresa M. Lyons, CEO 2004-2006
Theresa received a B.S. cum laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY in May 2000 with a degree in chemistry. In 2002, she received a M.S. from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY in synthetic organic chemistry. In 2004, she received a second M.S. from Yale University in New Haven, CT in chemistry. In 2006 she received her Ph.D. in Professor William L. Jorgensen's computational chemistry laboratory at Yale University where she was focusing on examining the activity of several HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase non- nucleoside inhibitors.
