Chief Executive, Association of Medical Research Charities

Sharmila Nebhrajani currently serves as the Chief Executive of the Association of Medication Charities, which represents 126 medical research charities across the UK. Nebhrajani has also been appointed to the Bar Standards Board, which regulates barristers and legal practice. She was directly involved in the commissioning of £1bn of primary health care services for the population of East Sussex, which includes the largest elderly population in the UK as well as some of the most deprived areas of Southern England.  She was also appointed by the UK Government to the board of the Charity Commission responsible for regulating the whole of the charitable and voluntary sector in England and Wales. Previously, she was the Chief Operating Officer for BBC Future Media & Technology. She remains involved in the media by serving as a non-executive director of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
