Chairman, VILAF

As the founder and chairman of VILAF-Hong Duc, the leading law firm in Vietnam, Tung Ngo has transformed his firm from an affiliate of Clifford Chance into the most respected independent commercial firm in his country. He has positioned VILAF as a leading agent for both economic development and social change within Vietnam. Ngo has worked to get Vietnam to adopt greater transparency and consistency in the application of laws, including the new Unified Law on Investment and regulations that affect the interests of domestic and foreign business enterprises. Ngo also regularly lectures at Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice’s Judicial Academy and is a contributing columnist to The Saigon Times. Known as a visionary leader in government and business circles, Ngo advocates vigorously for a modern judicial system.
