Yale Concert Band 2012-2013 Concert Schedule

Concerts are at 7:30 PM in Woolsey Hall and are free unless otherwise noted. Posters and press releases will be put up as they become available.

With the Yale Glee Club, Jeffrey Douma, Music Director, and the Yale Symphony Orchestra, Toshiyuki Shimada, Music Director.  (Though intended primarily for family members of Yale students, the public is invited and encouraged to attend!)

•  Friday, February 15, 2013 -- Winter Concert

World premiere of Breaking Out: A Concerto for Bassoon Quartet and Wind Ensemble (Scott Switzer YSM '12) featuring the Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet; Firebird Suite (Igor Stravinsky, arr. Randy Earles, ed. Frederick Fennell); Pineapple Poll (Arthur Sullivan, arr. Charles Mackerras); Lost Vegas (Michael Daugherty).

•  Friday, April 12, 2013 -- New Music for Wind Band

Precious Metal (D.J. Sparr), feat. Jake Fridkis YSM '14, flute; Century Shouts (Thomas C. Duffy); Short and Sweet (Stephen Feigenbaum); Immersion (Alex Shapiro); Overture to Candide (Leonard Bernstein, arr. Walter Beeler).
