Making Online Content Portable:
AKA Making Notebooks
The central component of each biblical book addressed in the Yale Bible Study is a series of eight 15-30 minute online video conversations between two Yale Divinity School-associated professors or ministers. Each of the conversations offers expert and accessible biblical interpretation. However, supplementing the videos are written materials that can greatly enhance the educational process—all freely available for download on the YBS web site.
Our first hope for these materials is simply that they will be used. We imagine that some who choose to use the supplementary material will want to put these materials together in the form of a convenient notebook. These course notebooks can easily be created by downloading and printing the materials and inserting them into a regular-sized three-ring binder notebook (1 or 1.5 inch).
Below is a list of contents and suggestions about how to put these materials in portable form most easily after download and printing from the web site.
Each assembled notebook should contain the following:
A notebook for the group leader should also include the brief leaders guide. >Leaders guide
The eight video conversations may be viewed by individuals on their computer monitors, or projected on a screen by using a laptop and projector. A third option is to purchase DVDs of the videos by contacting anne@godsacre.org or calling direct at 203-966-2651 ext. 36.
Yale Divinity School and the Congregational Church of New Canaan have placed no restrictions on the reproduction or retransmission of these materials.
