Whether you go for a semester or summer, study in English or in another language, study abroad advisers are available to help you sort through the different programs to find the one that best suits your goals and interests.   Yale Study Abroad Programs Credit for Non-Yale Study Abroad Programs Yale Study Abroad Programs During the summer and academic year, Yale runs a number of its programs. These include: Peking University-Yale University Joint Undergraduate Program Live and study for a semester or year with Peking University (PKU) students in Beijing – no Chinese language background required.

  Spend a spring or summer studying British history, architecture, art history, literature, and drama.
• Yale Summer Session
  Study with Yale faculty while immersed in a new culture and language.

  Take a summer course in English through a consortium of research universities.

Credit for Non-Yale Study Abroad Programs

To expand the number of study abroad opportunities available to students, Yale has designated more than 200 outside programs as eligible for Yale credit and financial aid transfer:

• Summer Abroad Credit for Non—Yale Programs
  The process by which students apply to earn Yale credit for summer study abroad on designated non-Yale programs.
• Year or Term Abroad (YTA)
  The process by which students apply to earn Yale credit for academic year study abroad on designated non-Yale programs.
