Dear Colleague:

YIP. YALE ITALIAN POETRY^® is the first bilingual journal in the United States totally dedicated to the critical diffusion of Italian poetry. This journal joins other ventures and publications centered on our activity within Yale University -- such as the Poetry Program, through which we host poetry readings and presentations of books of poems, and the Yale Poetry Group, founded and organized by Paolo Valesio, which meets every other Thursday evening at Calhoun College.

Of these initiatives, YIP. YALE ITALIAN POETRY^® is the crowning piece. The new annual journal will offer a qualificative panorama of contemporary Italian poetry through the presentation of poetical, poetological and critical texts and comprehensive reviews of books of poems. Another integral feature of the journal will be the publication of translations of Italian poetry as they are proposed by international artists, and translations of world poetry proposed by Italian writers.
