Guidelines

I. Start a Music/Video Clip Group Project!

II. Important dates for the Music/Video Clip Group Project

Week 8: Tuesday, Oct. 28
DUE: Proposal Submission
Week 10: Tuesday, Nov. 11
DUE: In-Class Presentation (see below for details)
DUE: Final Materials Submission (click link for instructions)

III. Specific Requirements for the Music/Video Clip Group Project

  1. Use at least three of the following software programs.

  5. Time requirement: 2:00 to 4:00 minutes in length

IV. Submit your Music/Video Clip Group Project Proposal on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

V. Presentation of your finished Music/Video Clip Group Project on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Your presentation must include:
  1. An overview of your group’s aesthetic and conceptual approaches for your Group Project.
  2. A summary of your group’s process working on your Group Project.
  3. A viewing of your Group Project as a final, produced DVD.

VI. Submission of your finished Music/Video Clip Group Project Materials between Tuesday, Nov. 11 and Friday, Nov. 14, 4:30 pm

Final submission of materials must include the following:
  1. A final essay describing your finished Group Project results included as an rtf document on your data CD-R or DVD-R.
  2. A data CD-R or DVD-R with ALL of your various project materials archived on it.
  3. An H.264 compressed QuickTime .mov file of your music video that is resized to 320x240 pixels, and included on your data archive CD-R or DVD-R. Audio should be AAC compressed with a sampling rate of 48 kHz and a target bit rate of 128 kbps. The video should be prepared for internet streaming and "Hinted Streaming" should be selected.
  4. The final, produced DVD of your Music Video Group Project.
