About us...

Our organization was founded to give an opportunity for students of the chemical sciences to become better acquainted with one another and to share research interests. Nonetheless, we encourage non-chemistry majors to join our organization to understand and share in our love for chemistry.

We are officially the American Chemical Society student affiliates chapter at Yale University, and so we encourage people to become student affiliates. This membership is the student version of the regular ACS membership many professors have. Becoming an ACS student affiliates member is easy and well-worth the membership fee. Student access to career resources and the ACS search engine is provided as well as a subscription to Chemical and Engineering News, the official magazine of the ACS. This wonderfully written magazine keeps the avid chemist abreast of all the latest chemical news. However, we do not require any member to be a student affilate and in fact encourage students to join our organization before becoming a student affiliate.
