Details About Yeast at Yale
You can check out our Mission Statement to get an idea of what Yeast at Yale is striving for.
But what is Yeast at Yale really about? Simply put:
![]() |
We are the members of the Yale yeast research community: faculty, graduate students, postdocs, research associates, undergraduates...in other words, just like you!
|
![]() |
We enjoy hearing about exciting yeast-based science, and learning about yeast-related techniques, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
|
![]() |
We get together once a month for two short (30 minute) talks from fellow Yale yeast researchers about what they are up to.
|
![]() |
We want the opportunity to talk about our work because:
a) it is great practice for more formal talks (thesis defense, job talk, conference presentation).
b) it is a chance to ask for (and to offer) suggestions, feedback, constructive criticism.
c) frankly, we think it's pretty cool.

Currently, Yeast at Yale sessions take place on the last Thursday of each month, at 1 pm. Please check the schedule for location, as it alternates between Bass 405 and SHM C103.

We like our science with pizza and soda, and acknowledge the support
of BBS and John Alvaro in procuring refreshments for our sessions.
