Driving Directions
Interstate 95
From the north:
Connect to I-91 North in New Haven; take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street) and follow directions below for I-91.

From the south:
Connect to I-91 North in New Haven (left exit); take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street) and follow directions below for I-91.

Interstate 91
From the north (Bradley Airport) or south:
Take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Stay in the middle lane and continue straight onto Trumbull Street to the fourth traffic light. Turn left onto Prospect Street and continue for one block. Prospect Street becomes College Street at this point. Continue for 1 block, and turn left onto Wall Street. Go two blocks on Wall Street. Whitney Humanities Center is located on the left side of the street, on the corner of Wall and Church Street.

Route 15
(Wilbur Cross/Merritt Parkways)
From the north:
Take Exit 61. Drive south on Whitney Avenue for approximately five miles. Turn right on Sachem Street at the Peabody Museum traffic light. Continue to next traffic light and turn left onto Prospect Street. At the second traffic light, Prospect Street becomes College Street. Continue for 1 block, and turn left onto Wall Street. Go 2 blocks on Wall Street. Whitney Humanities Center is located on the left side of the street, on the corner of Wall and Church Street.

From the south:
Take Exit 57. Drive east on Route 34 (Derby Avenue) for approximately five miles past the Yale Athletic Fields. Turn left onto Route 10 North, Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Proceed to the fifth traffic light and turn right onto Whalley Avenue. Whalley becomes Broadway in 1 mile, and Broadway becomes Elm Street in another .2 miles. Continue on Elm for 4 blocks. Turn left onto Church Street, and go 1 block. Whitney Humanities Center is located on the left side of the street, on the corner of Church and Wall Street.

Route 34
From the west: Follow directions from Route 15 above.

Rail:

Air:
Bradley International Airport (BDL), just north of Hartford, is the closest airport to New Haven (ca. 50 miles). Most major domestic and international carriers fly into Bradley. Parking:
Metered parking is available on Chapel Street, High Street, Elm Street and throughout the downtown and campus area. The rate is 20 minutes for $.25. The maximum meter time is 2 hours.
In addition, conference attendees may park for free in any of the Yale Parking Services lots from 4pm Friday afternoon until 7am Monday morning. Within Yale Campus:
The Hall of Graduate Studies is located at 320 York Street, on the corner of York and Wall Street.
Whitney Humanities Center is located at 53 Wall Street, on the corner of Wall and Church Street.

To the Hall of Graduate Studies from Whitney Humanities Center:
On Foot:

You may walk from Whitney Humanities Center straight along Wall Street for four blocks to reach the Hall of Graduate Studies. The third of your four blocks will take you along a section of Wall Street closed to traffic.
By Car:
From Whitney Humanities Center, make a left onto Church Street, and go 1 block. Make a left onto Grove Street. Continue on Grove for 4 blocks. After you pass the Grove Street Cemetery, Grove will become Tower Parkway. Continue on Tower to Broadway. Make a left onto Broadway. At the next traffic light, Broadway will merge with Elm Street. Stay in the left lane on Elm and make a left onto York Street. Go 1 block. The Hall of Graduate Studies is on the corner of York and Wall Street.
