Speaker's Committee

YIRA is an umbrella organization for three primary activities: The Security Council Simulation at Yale (SCSY), a collegiate Model UN conference revolving around crisis simulations; the Yale Model United Nations (YMUN), which attracts roughly 1,000 high school students each winter; the Model United Nations Team at Yale (MUNTY), representing Yale and YIRA at other collegiate Model UN conferences.

YIRA is always open to enthusiastic students who wish to work for any program of YIRA. Past experience is not important; what we look for is enthusiasm and commitment. As long as you are willing to contribute to the organization, we will provide you with training, from how to chair a committee to speaking better at conferences. If you are interested in any of our programs please visit their site and contact the program coordinator.
