Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009: Holiday Concert at the Center Church on the Green
Our annual holiday concert (the last of the season!) is fast approaching. We will perform this Saturday, December 5, 7:00 pm at the Center Church on the Green Parish House. Please let your family and friends know about this concert, which promises to light up your weekend with sacred and secular repertoire spanning from the heart of Russia to Ukraine, Slovakia, Georgia, and more.
As always, our holiday concert's admission price is $5 for students, $10 for adults.
Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009: Our thanks to St. Saviour's Episcopal Church
Our choristers sung beautifully at today's YRC concert at St. Saviour's Episcopal Church. The YRC would particularly like to thank our organizers at St. Saviour's for hosting us and treating us with refreshments afterwards. Our final concert of the season is to be held on Yale's very own campus. Stay tuned for our holiday concert, a night full of carols and holiday cheer from the YRC.
Friday, Nov. 6, 2009: Mnogaya Lyeta, All Saints Orthodox Church!
Tonight's YRC concert, conducted by former YRC member and Fairfield University professor Michael Ciavaglia, turned out to be quite a sensation among the audience at All Saints Orthodox Church. After the concert, members of the YRC were then invited to mingle with the All Saints community downstairs in the local bazaar event, which turned out to be full of activity. The YRC would like to thank the work of our organizers at All Saints Orthodox Church. Congratulations to Michael Ciavaglia for a conducting job well done, and of course to our choristers for yet another great performance.
Friday, Oct. 30, 2009: First concert at Wesleyan
The first YRC concert of the 2009-2010 year at Crowell Concert Hall went smoothly tonight. The YRC would like to thank Wesleyan University for hosting our concert tonight. Congratulations to our choristers (and our alumni) for a memorable night!
Friday, Sept. 11, 2009: The 2009-2010 season is upon us!
The Yale Russian Chorus (YRC) is now looking to recruit new choristers for 2009-2010. If you would like to audition for the YRC this year, please e-mail Adam, our YRC president

We are looking for anyone in the New Haven community (graduate students, undergraduate students, local singers, etc.) who is willing to sing tenor or bass in our chorus. Knowledge of Russian is helpful, but not necessary. We meet once a week for rehearsals on Tuesdays from 7:30-10:00 pm. During the year we hold concerts around New Haven and local communities.
